Sandra (Dawn) Harvey was an outstanding print and television journalist who was also the author and co-author of five true crime books.

The SD Harvey Short Crime Story Award, which has been running since 2008,  recognises excellence in this genre of writing.

​

From 2024, entries for the SD Harvey Award will be lodged on this website.
Only fiction entries will now be accepted.

The winner will receive a cash prize of $1000.
Entries open September 1 and close September 30, 2024
