This is a writing prompt from Jackie Johansen from Finally Writing.

We love to read your writing - don't forget to head to the workshop to share the fruits of this exercise! If you're not sure how, check out our how-to video on uploading and sharing your work. Writing from the workshop also has the chance to be published and read by a wider audience (and we pay!) as part of our new Bloc Features project.

Take a moment to close your eyes and turn your attention inward. Notice what colour comes up. When ready, open your eyes and write about the colour. Here are some questions to get you started: What does it feel like? Do any memories come up for you? What about words, associations, or stories? Allow this colour, that is alive in you, to guide your writing. Allow yourself to write what comes up easily, don't over think. Trust your wise and creative gut.
