Summary:
A poem experimenting with phrase permutation

Tension mounts upon me. I am the beast and it my burden. I wish it would pass. It consents and leaves me behind. Tense passed. Present me with an uncertain future: I will make it shine. Build it from the rubble. Build it high.
But not yet.
For the present I will rest.

Tension mounts. Once upon a time I thought myself  a beast of burden. I wished for ease, tension listened. Consenting to leave me behind. Past tense.
Present: me with an uncertain future. I made it shine. Built from rubble. Built high.
But this present belongs to the past now.
And I am left with the rest.
