Finished this this morning. I really love Evie Wyld but not sure about this book. There’s some real darkness here, and the legacy of some of that plays out in the present day but it ultimately felt a bit disconnected to me. And the central ghost character, a bit to the side, without really any part to play in the story. The things he observes, don’t seem to be that important to the whole story? I don’t know.

Anyway, the characters are really vivid and there’s a lot in the book still. I would probably recombined some of the Wyld’s other books before this one.
