Read MoreWriters Bloc is open for submissions which means we want your pitches.
What we’re looking for:
We’re specifically on the lookout for more Ideas pieces, Interviews and Reviews, and the best way to get an idea of what they cover is to have a dig through the archives. However! If you have a (nonfiction) idea that doesn’t neatly fit one of these but still seems like a good fit for the site, send us through an email. First and foremost we want interesting work - so the categories are more of a guide.
The finer details:
We pay $100 for these kinds of pieces, and the word count is usually around 600-800 words.
How to pitch:
Send through an email to our editor, Elizabeth Flux, at editor [at] thewritersbloc [dot] net, include “PITCH” in the subject line, with a brief overview of your idea.
The Writers Bloc is a community for writers. We provide free anonymous workshopping, advice, events, opportunities, and a paid publishing platform.
